Privacy Policy

Who we are?

This is the official Nuriootpa Town Band website.

Our website address is: https://nuriootpatownband.com.au.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When you choose to contact us via our contact page form, we collect only the information you provide – email address, name, phone number (if you choose) & message.

Once we have replied to you, we store your information for a further 14 days for any future correspondance. After this time period, your details are permanently deleted.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Ticket Purchases

If you choose to purchase tickets through our website, all payments and information is handled securely by PayPal. PayPal’s privacy policy can be found here: https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

Our website retains your email address, name, phone number if supplied & ticket number until the event has been held and concluded. At this time, your personal data is stored for 6 months in a secure database for attendance record keeping for band use. After the 6 month duration, all personal data is deleted permanently.

Who we share your data with

Your data is never shared publicly. Personal information entered for ticket purchases may be shared within the band committee to aid with attendance tracking & speed up check-in on the event door. The website administrator can also see that information and delete immediately if requested.

How long we retain your data

If you use our contact us form, the message and its metadata are retained until the completion of correspondence. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up messages automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that purchase tickets on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their purchase. This data is permanently deleted after 6 months.

What rights you have over your data

If you have used either our contact form or purchased tickets, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Your data is only used locally on our website.

Your contact information

All contact information provided to us is used only by the Nuriootpa Town Band committee or webmaster. This information will not be used to be subscribed to any newsletters or mailing lists automatically.
